The Cape Breton Capers are back on top.
The tournament favourites pulled through on Monday, scoring early in extra-time to beat the surprising UPEI Panthers 2-1.
"These guys want to put a banner up in the school," said Capers head coach Robbie Chiasson. "The more success you have, the more people become aware of your program and better players want to come to your school."

Cape Breton defeat UdeM, head to AUS finals and CIS nationals
The Cape Breton Capers survived a late comeback to advance out of the semi-finals yesterday, beating UdeM 4-3.
"Soccer Is A Cruel Game" Dalhousie Out of AUS Men's Playoffs
The Dalhousie Tigers are not going to nationals. They lost today in front of about 500 fans at Wickwire Field in a game that was at times thrilling and at times frustrating.
UPEI will instead advance to the finals against Cape Breton and book their tickets to Langley. They outscored the Tigers 4-3.
The game was at times controversial, and provided talking points from start to finish.

Live matches will not happen for DalSoccerLive
In an unfortunate turn, DalSoccerLive is being forced to cancel our live-blogging of the AUS Men's Playoffs.
Giants out at AUS Women's Playoffs
Both the Dalhousie Tigers and the Cape Breton Capers will not be returning to CIS nationals this year.
Both teams lost their semi-final matches yesterday.

UdeM, UPEI win quarter-finals, X and UNB bow out
Negative soccer never really pays. Sure the Greeks have one a Euro title because of it. And we'll grant that it is a strategy of sorts, and it can be effective. But really, all it gives is a more dramatic and exciting win to the other team when they finally break through.

Update: Final will be played Monday: AUS
According to the AUS website, the AUS Men's Playoff final will be played on Monday, Nov. 9th.
There are still contradicting reports: the Dal Athletics site still says the time is undecided, so this may not be cleared up yet.
Hopefully this tidbit holds up, since it makes it far easier to showcase the tournament. More people will come, more people will watch online, and that means more interest in Dal Soccer.
More thoughts on this tomorrow morning.

Cape Breton and St. FX Advance at AUS Women's Playoffs, Host MUN and UdeM Out
It wasn't a great day for the AUS Women's Playoffs hosts, the Memorial Sea-Hawks. They lost 2-0 to a Cape Breton side that knows how to win in these situations. St. FX beat UdeM 1-0 and will face Dalhousie tomorrow, recreating one of the closest matches the Tigers have had this season, when they won 2-1 over St. FX thanks to two goals from Katie Richard.
Top seed UPEI will meet Cape Breton in what could be something of an epic duel, featuring two teams with a lot of high-calibre players.
