This one could be tough.
The Dalhousie Tigers' first match-up of the AUS soccer season is against probably the most difficult team in the league this year. In that sense, it's a critical battle for three points. It's also a battle Dal will likely lose.

Slow start to women's preseason
By Dylan Matthias
The Dalhousie women got off to a slow start to preseason on Sept. 1st, losing 1 - 0 to Saint Mary's and drawing Acadia 0 - 0 in two short exhibition matches at Wickwire field.
Acadia also drew with Saint Mary's in another game.
Despite the poor results, and what Tigers' coach Jack Hutchison described as nervous soccer, the Dalhousie recruits showed some promise.

Live: CIS Women's Soccer Gold Medal: Queen's v. Laurier
The game the whole weekend is really about kicks off at 1:00pm this afternoon. We'll be live to preview the rematch of the OUA final (which Laurier won 1-0) at 12:15pm, assuming, of course, that the previous game doesn't go into extra time, in which case it'll be more like 12:35pm.
As always, the blog window and/or links are after the jump. Drop by and have your say on the national final.

The Carabins are back after falling apart last night. They'll go for bronze and we'll go live from 9:30am. Montreal are without coach Kevin McConnell and midfielder Claire Robbins for the game after both were ejected in the semi-final.
Find out whether the Carabins can salvage some pride or whether UFV will end their incredible season with a national medal after the jump.

Live: CIS Women's Soccer Championships: UPEI v. UBC
Last night's Panthers game was a blast, but they'll be in just as tough against a big, strong, fast UBC team that struggled to finish against Laurier yesterday.
If the two teams replicate yesterday's form (something CBU and Laval absolutely didn't do) then this could be another excellent game for the hosts.
I'll be here from 3:45pm.

Live: CIS Women's Soccer Championships: Cape Breton v. Laval
The consolation semi-finals start at 12:45pm on a much warmer and more comfortable day in Charlottetown. These four teams eliminated from trophy contention yesterday can still finish as high as fifth.

Live: CIS Women's Soccer Championships: Montreal v. UPEI
Follow Dylan as his brain turns to grey-green mush during the fourth game of a very, very long Thursday from 7:00pm. How coherent the blog is may depend quite directly on the proximity of a pizza place to the field in Charlottetown. Dylan's hoping one is close, and that the Laurier-UBC game doesn't go to extra-time.
The blog is after the jump, except on Haligonia, where you'll need to use the links after checking out all the great writers on the site and sounding off on the forum.
The media hype for this tournament in Charlottetown is incredible, and this game should be packed and intense.
