Dal: Power, Mannix, Rogers, Weymann, Dalziel, Burr, Hagen, Haughn, Negulic, Daoust, Hawley.
Acadia: MacRae, Tully, Hennigar, Sequeira, DeAdder, Merchant, Outerleys, Holton, Hammond, Wade, Nunn.
1min: Off we go.
7min: Teams are taking some time. Free kick in a dangerous position to Dal. It's wasted.
8min: Hammond in trouble as he flops down on the break. Dive's the call, but no yellow.
12min: Rainy time!
13min: I should point out that Acadia aren't a very good team.
14min: Dal score, but it's offside. Good early call, no controversy there.
15min: Corner to Dal. Not the strongest of punches from MacRae, but it's enough to clear.
17min: It'll be interesting to see Power tonight. I honestly have never seen him play before. Ur's pretty unflappable, but Acadia aren't--they're awful, so it's a good opportunity to Power's memory of competitive play.
19min: Dal win corner number 915283641. Negulic picks out Weymann, who skies his header over the bar.
22min: Daoust runs with superhuman speed onto a long pass from Mannix. He flicks it over MacRae's head, but it floats across the face of goal and out.
23min: Spectacular double save from MacRae, who denies Weymann twice, first leaping high to save a header, then getting even higher to tip away the second try for Weymann. Phenomenal save and phenomenally lucky--if he hadn't landed on his feet the first time then Weymann scores on the follow-up.
27min: Mannix in booked on a rare Acadia foray, pulling back Merchant.
31min: GOAL! (Rogers 1) Negulic with yet another corner in and Rogers rises well to head into goal. 1-0.
34min: Nice long cross from Burr threatens goal, but MacRae gathers it.
35min: Acadia work a nice quick counterattack which ends with a horrific through ball. For a team with only one goal (and that was a CBU own goal), Acadia aren't looking too bad. Or just highly motivated.
39min: GOAL! (Daoust 2) What a goal! Hawley flips it over the defender and then heads his own pass to Daoust, who lobs home.
42min: Power tips a long bomb of a shot over the bar. The corner is cleared.
45min: Half-time called. Dal should be taking control of this.
45min: Afani in for Dal, replacing Hawley and Perrotta replaces Daoust. Mazurkewich on for Burr.
46min: Afani fires on goal and MacRae saves. If he'd taken a better touch he might have scored, be Afani cost himself valuable seconds controlling the ball.
48min: Acadia win a free kick out wide for which Dalziel is inexplicably booked. Hagen breaks the other way and runs 80 yards with the ball at his feet before trying to find Afani and overhitting his pass.
53min: Dal with some solid possession before they concede a free kick. Dalziel off for Cody Field.
57min: Hammond gets behind Weymann but Power is down quick to save. Hammond put it straight at him, though. Good save all the same.
63min: Hagen's been having a whale of a second half, constantly lively on the ball, breaking up attacks and running past people. Acadia remove Matthew Holton and Tetlow for Munroe and Gilmour-Ford.
67min: GOAL! (Hagen 2) Hagen gets his due after Afani lays it on for him to score. Acadia got caught way too far forward and Perrotta beats Tully to give Afani and Hagen the 2 on 1, which they work to perfection.
68min: Perrotta gets levelled with an elbow. No card. Perrotta's alright, though.
69min: Hagen again breaks up the middle and drives into the box. He gets it to Perrotta, who's offside.
71min: Doucet comes off for Smith.
73min: Haughn and Negulic off for Andrew Hutchison and Luke Thompson.
77min: Afani wins Dal yet another corner. They play it short and Field has a long range effort. It extends MacRae but ultimately goes wide.
80min: Perrotta lops a shot high and wide.
83min: Mazurkewich is on the deck. I think he got kicked going into a tough challenge with Hammond. He limps off to be replaced by Chris Haughn.
86min: Acadia contrive to make an awful mess of a defensive throw-in and Perrotta contrives to make an awful mess of his shot. Hennigar pretty much served that up for the Dal striker, whose effort was nowhere near the net from about six yards out.
87min: Hagen with some more midfield swagger from which Hutchison troubles MacRae. Acadia bring off Merchant for James Nunn.
90+min: Full-time. Dal win easily again. This is getting a bit repetitive. The expectation now has to be for them to win AUS playoffs. That's a bit hard on them, since it's knockout football and anything could happen. That said, the only true gauge of how god this team is is going to be against CIS competition. They've outplayed most every team who have come to Dal this year. Given they're hosting AUS playoffs, they should do well.
